Antalya's Golden Orange Film Festival -- Turkey's most prestigious -- made a point of its outdoor screenings in 2008. The festival's waterfront venue drew large crowds for evening cinema under the Mediterranean sky, with films screened on a large outdoor screen. Several award-winning Turkish productions from that year had their popular premieres here before wider release.
